Authors to sign books at Borders

RAPID CITY -- Borders, 2130 Haines Ave., will host two author appearances in August.


Cathie Draine and Mick Harrison will sign their book, "Cowboy Life: The Letters of George Philip," at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.

The book features 21 letters from George Philip to his children, detailing hard days and hijinks in the saddle in South Dakota in the early 1900s. Author Cathie Draine is Philip's granddaughter.

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, Chad Lewis and Terry Fisk will sign their book, "The South Dakota Road Guide to Haunted Locations."

In their book, Lewis and Fisk explore the ghostly legends of South Dakota and share what they discovered when they traveled to the locations to experience the phenomenon first hand.
