Ghost lecture today in Palos Heights

10/18/09 - The Southtown Star

Nearly everyone has heard of famous haunts such as the Myrtles Plantation in Louisiana and Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Kentucky, but did you know there are places just as spooky right here in Illinois?

Chad Lewis, coauthor of "The Illinois Road Guide to Haunted Locations," will take you on a ghostly journey to some of the most haunted places in Illinois during "The Most Haunted Places of Illinois" at 2 p.m. today at Palos Heights Public Library, 12501 S. 71st Ave., Palos Heights.

The program will cover the entire state, starting with the Wandering Ghosts of the south to a haunted theater in Chicago.

Lewis will provide photos, case histories, eyewitness accounts, ghost lore and directions so you you can visit the locales for yourself.

Registration is required. The program is supported in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
