With more than 14 years of
experience in tracking unexplained
phenomena, Lewis will share stories
of ghosts wandering in the north
woods to the haunted Palmer House
Hotel in Sauk
Born in Eau Claire, WI, Lewis has a
masters degree in psychology from
the University of Wisconsin, Stout.
He became interested in studying why
people believed in paranormal events
or why they did not.
“When I started talking to people
about this, they started telling me
stories about things that happened
to them and asking for help in
investigating them,” Lewis said.
Lewis begins his investigations by
thoroughly researching the history
of the places he visits. He has
spent hundreds of hours traveling
in search of paranormal
activity, from hunting for vampires
in Transylvania to looking for the
Loch Ness monster in Scotland.

“I consider this part para
normal and part adventure,” he said.
“But I want people to go out and see
for themselves. I don’t try to
convince them one way or the other.
It is about what they believe.”
“I hope they will use the book to
take some new backroads, meet some
new people and have a good strange
time,” Lewis said. “They may not
believe in it but they can still
have a lot of fun with it if they
check things out for themselves.”
Lewis has appeared on television in
ABC’s World’s Scariest Places, and
on the Discovery Channel’s A
Haunting. He had a radio show for
three years and has lectured on his
