UW-Stout grad pens book about the paranormal, hosts booksigning

04/13/05 - The Dunn County News

Chad Lewis, co-author of The Wisconsin Road Guide to Haunted Places, will be in town to discuss and sign his latest book on Thursday, April 14, at the Bookends Bookstore, 211 Main St., Menomonie, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Lewis, who received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from UW-Stout, co-wrote the book with Terry Fisk.

The Wisconsin Road Guide to Haunted Places features nearly 100 of Wisconsin's most haunted places and provides readers with history from the site, photos, investigation details and directions, so people can experience the paranormal for themselves.

The book also explores Menomonie' s strange side, including cases at the Mabel Tainter Theater and Devil's Punchbowl. And Lewis will discuss ghosts that are said to be haunting UW-Stout, including the specter often seen in JTC dorm rooms.

Open to the public, this book signing will feature where to go to possibly be chased by hellhounds, see statues come to life, go camping with ghosts, pick up a vanishing hitchhiker, sleep in a haunted bed and breakfast, worship in a phantom church, and much more.
